Jamie joined the firm in 2016.  He is originally from Plymouth, MN and previously practiced at firms in Wayzata and downtown Minneapolis. He has represented various clients in the financial services industry ranging from large national banks and insurers to closely held business entities and their individual owners. Jamie values the relationships he has developed throughout the course of his legal career and appreciates the opportunities he has had to work with so many talented clients and colleagues. He takes great pride in becoming an essential member of his clients' teams.

As an attorney with Anastasi Jellum, P.A., Jamie practices in the following areas:

Commercial Lending and Loan Documentation.

Jamie works with our clients in the preparation of commercial loan documentation. He has extensive experience in complex loan documentation including construction and real estate loans, syndicated loans, and complex asset-based loans.

Government Guaranteed Loans.

In addition to assisting financial institutions with their commercial loan needs, Jamie works with lenders making government guaranteed loans including:

  • SBA loans (Small Business Administration)
  • SBA 504 loans
  • SBA 7(a) loans
  • SBA CAPLines loans
  • SBA Express loans
  • USDA loans (U.S. Department of Agriculture)
  • Local loan programs

Depending on the nature of the transaction and the particular client's needs, this work includes loan eligibility, compliance, documentation review, documentation preparation, and loan closing.

Real Estate.

Jamie works extensively with small to medium sized business owners involved in the commercial real estate industries. He is experienced in transactions involving commercial real estate acquisitions, real estate development, environmental issues, construction law, land use regulations, and common interest communities (CICs).

Business Law.

Jamie assists our clients in matters involving entity formation and governance as well as sales and purchases of existing businesses. He works with various closely held entities including corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships of all types, joint ventures, and sole proprietorships.

Loan Restructuring, Workouts and Collections.

Jamie assists clients in working through troubled loans with the intent of avoiding litigation and maximizing recovery. Through the use of various tools such as forbearance agreements, confessions of judgment, deeds in lieu of foreclosure, and voluntary surrender agreements, he helps financial institutions structure repayment plans that satisfy all parties. In the event there is a default of the workout arrangement, he ensures that the collateral recovery process is quick with minimized costs.

Jamie attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah where he studied business management. Between college and law school, he worked in product development at General Mills. As a law student at the University of Minnesota, Jamie served as a student director for the University of Minnesota Bankruptcy Clinic , worked as an outside articles editor for the legal journal Law and Inequality: A Journal of Theory and Practice,  and participated in the Chief Judge Conrad Duberstein National Bankruptcy Moot Court competition in New York. He is actively involved with the Minnesota State Bar Association as well as numerous local and national civic and community groups.

In his free time Jamie skis, plays guitar poorly, and dreams of a Vikings super bowl "victory parade."
